Wow! It really has been a long time since my last post. I apologize. But, after some personal issues, I am now ready to redevote some time back to blogging and knitting.
My first knitting project came about as a request from my son- a new winter hat. So, where to find a great pattern? Only the greatest site for knitters on the net today- Ravelry! After searching through all my saved favorites and weeding through newly added patterns, I came across The Man Hat. It’s a great pattern written by Haven Leavitt.
I used Patons Classic Wool Merino yarn in Forest. I used US size 8 dpn the whole time, Cast on 72 stitches and knit the base for 6 inches prior to decreasing. I extended the decreasing until I had 4 stitches left and did a basic bind off on those 4 stitches.
I think it came out great and my son is happy.
My next project (already in progress) is a Tam for my daughter. Will post pics. when it is completed.
It’s so nice to be back 🙂
