Everything is wonderful and beautiful in their own right, but there were a few items that stood out for various reasons.  So, I will share those items.  If you see something in the pictures above and you’d like to see a bigger picture of it and/or would like to know where you can purchase something, let me know.

Long Absence

I apologize for my absence from the blogging world. To make a long story short, I’ll say that I invited my sister and her children from Texas to stay with my family until she could get on her feet and now, I no longer (nor will I ever again) consider her as my sister. After the disruption my family faced, I felt I needed to spend time with them and get life back on track.

{R} and I took a much needed romantic vacation. Our first night was spent in Old Port. Just entering the city put me at ease. {R} bought me my Valentine’s gift there; a customized bracelet with his name, my name and all 3 kids names on it. It’s very pretty and I love it. The next day we went to our intended destination (and one of our favorite places), Foxwoods in Connecticut and stayed at the MGM Grand for 2 nights. It was wonderful and refreshing. We had an amazing room (The Producers Suite) with an amazing view. We gambled, window shopped, watched PPV movies, talked, laughed and reconnected. Knowing how much I enjoy eating at incredible and elegant restaurants, {R} took me to CraftSteakright at the grand. For those who don’t know, CraftSteak is owned by the head judge, Tom Collichio, on the Bravo Tv show, Top Chef. It was delicious and I highly recommend it to everyone. Here are some pics from our trip:

I have felt at ease the past couple of weeks and have finally been able to do something I’ve wanted to do for awhile. More on that tomorrow (hopefully)!

We all need to take vacations every now and then.  I am over due for one now.  Looking forward to it.  It seems as though I end up working even on vacation taking pictures.
